Call for Council Members 2018

Dear EYPers,

Here is your chance to play a crucial role in driving our network forward in 2018 - join one of our EYP Councils!

The EYP Councils play a critical role in the development of the EYP. When it comes to the quality of trainings, the input of teachers, the academic quality of our work, the diversity of our participants or the support for National Committees - the Councils play a crucial role in driving all of these important processes forward.
The Councils consist of small, dedicated groups that tackle specific areas of our work, well aligned with ongoing strategic priorities. Starting from 2018, there will be five Councils in total: the Educational Council, the Training and Member Development Council, the Development Council (formerly Regional Development Council), Academic Council, and Outreach and Inclusion Council. You can find more information about each Council and their specific tasks by following this link:  http://eyp.org/about/organisation/eyp-councils/

If you are motivated and dedicated to help improve EYP in these fields, please apply! Submit your applications through the online application form here: http://polls.eyp.org/councils-2018 by Wednesday 24th of January 2018 at noon CET.

Each Council is looking for at least six interested members. Councils were all chaired by GB members in 2017, but from 2018 onwards, the GB will have the option of entrusting well-qualified applicants with this role. If you are interested in chairing one of the Councils, please indicate this in your application. The mandate of each Council starts on 1 February 2018 and ends a year later on 31 January 2019. The newly elected GB will select the new Council members at their first meeting on January 26-28.

It is planned that each Council will meet for at least one in-person meeting in 2018, and it’s likely that the meeting(s) will take place in the first half of 2018, however, the exact time frame for this remains to be defined.

If you have any questions regarding the Councils, please do not hesitate to contact me, the GB, or any of the current Council members. This is your chance to support the development of our international network while working closely with some super nice and capable people!

We look forward to your applications!

Best from Berlin,

Lukas
