This weekend we welcomed 25 young Europeans from 13 countries for our International Spring training for the Understanding Europe project. In order to further enable young peer-trainers to conduct they key element of the project, a 4 hour EU Crash Course, in their country the training covered moderation techniques, neutrality in political education and modules on project management and communication.

We are happy to welcome Anna Saraste to the team at the International Office of the EYP! Anna is currently getting her first EYP experience while attending Dublin Belfast 2016 - 81st International Session of the EYP. At the Schwarzkopf-Stiftung Junges Europa, she will mainly be working on a project focused on international security issues, organised with the support of the German OSCE Chairmanship, which includes Vienna and Belgrade 2016 - EYP International Forums as well as a series of discussion events.

Understanding Europe international spring training 2016

The EU Crash Courses offer pupils an interactive introduction of European politics. The courses are 4-hour-long introductory courses into the European Union, targeted at secondary school students between 15 and 18.

Between 5th and 13th of March, almost 300 young people from 33 countries are gathered for Dublin Belfast 2016 - 81st International Session of the EYP, a unique cross-border event jointly organised by European Youth Parliament Ireland and European Youth Parliament United Kingdom!

Dublin Belfast 2016 - 81st International Session of the EYP started today! Our first flagship International Session of 2016 is gathering almost 300 participants from 33 countries. Following the session theme of "Crossing Borders, Transcending Conflict", everything is set for a unique cross-border event in Belfast and Dublin, jointly organised by European Youth Parliament United Kingdom and European Youth Parliament Ireland!

Today we would like to announce the Academic Council for the year 2016. The Council works on improving our organisation when it comes to academic preparations and quality. Among others it manages the committee topic process for International Sessions and it assesses and develops academic processes in EYP.
We wish all members a great time in the Council and we look forward to their work.

It is our pleasure to announce the Training and Alumni Development Council 2016. The task of the Council is to increase the quality of EYP events and experience through providing materials, maintaining and developing the pool of trainers, and organising international training courses in cooperation with NCs.

EYP Austria and European Youth Parliament Serbia came to Berlin this week to prepare for two exciting International Forums. We are looking forward to debating international security topics in Vienna in May and in Belgrade in August!

We are delighted to announce that the second #PowerShifts Forum will be taking place in Warsaw, Poland between 20th until 28th of August 2016. The event will gather around 150 participants from all over Europe under the theme of energy and will be organised by Europejski Parlament Młodzieży EYP Poland.
