Two days ago Rotterdam 2018, 88th International Session of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) officially ended. It has been an enormous honour for the Dutch National Committee to host such a flagship event this year.

For 9 days, 300 young people exchanged opinions, views, perspectives and cultures. All of the Organising Team’s efforts were aimed at providing the best possible experience for all these young Europeans. With the conference now two days behind us, let’s listen to the participants: what did they get out of this experience?

Today, October 5th, is World Teachers Day!

On this day, it is important to remember that EYP was in fact started by a teacher in 1987 as a school project. Ever since, teachers have been vital to the EYP and we would not exist without you. To commemorate the ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning Status of Teachers: "The right to education means the right to a qualified teacher".
