EYP Armenia

EYP Armenia was founded in 2012, becoming a successful network and a platform for active youth in Armenia and giving a chance to express their viewpoints, develop their critical thinking and become a coherent part of socio-economic and political life of Armenia and the EU. Since then, more than 40 regional, national and international projects and events have been implemented, engaging around 4500 young people from Armenia and hundreds of foreign participants.

As an independent non-partisan organisation, EYP Armenia has cooperated with local and international organisations and entities to deliver projects in different scopes and formats. The major cooperation has been established with the Central Bank of Armenia, the EU Delegation to Armenia, World Vision Armenia, Red Cross Society in Armenia, Oxygen Armenia, European Business Association in Armenia, American University of Armenia, Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, etc.

Also, for three years in a row EYP Armenia has been engaged in the BASES (Building A Strong European Society) project of the Schwarzkopf Foundation, implementing significant projects such as the International EYP Forum in Armenia (IEFA). EYP Armenia also hosted the T4ET (Training for EYP Trainers) in 2016. Various other trainings (including EU crash courses in the scope of “Understanding Europe” project), school sessions, inter-university forums and alumni/member gatherings are undertaken by the organisation.

Have you ever experienced the thrilling, yet somewhat intimidating feeling of novelty? Even such a safe space that EYP is, may render us shivering while we face our challenges. Thus, we asked the participants of Dilijan 2019 to reflect on their diverse experiences and think of a piece of advice that they would give to themselves as newcomers. The project features photographs of participants making their first steps in EYP, alongside their current stance in the organisation.
