Volodymyr-Volynskyi EYP Weekend of EYP Ukraine

Innovative Democracy: challenges and opportunities
In spring 2019, EYP Ukraine is launching a series of outreach sessions - EYP Weekends.
What is an EYP Weekend? EYP Weekend is a 2-day session, which focuses on introducing the concept of EYP to school and university students and on expanding outreach of EYP activities in different regions of Ukraine.
The umbrella topic of spring EYP Ukraine Weekends 2019 is "Innovative Democracy: challenges and opportunities".
Why Volodymyr-Volynskyi? With its rich history and picturesque landscapes, Volodymyr-Volynskyi is a remote town which lies in the heart of North-Western Ukraine - Volyn. Playing an important role in the region's cultural life, V-V has never hosted an EYP event before. This year, we are bringing EYP to the heart of Volyn, where young participants from diverse corners of the region will unite to discuss the challenges of innovating democracy.
The structure of an EYP Weekend includes 3 core parts of a session:
-
Teambuilding
-
Committee Work
-
General Assembly
Teambuilding and Committee Work will take place on the 1st day of the session, while General Assembly will occupy the 2nd day of the session. There will also be a preparatory training for organisers, journalists and chairpersons (CJO) holded 1 day before the EYP Weekend.
Each event will gather 40-50 delegates and about 60-70 participants in total, including teachers, officials’ team and Board representatives.
We welcome everyone to grow both personally and professionally together with EYP Ukraine in the cosy city of Volodymyr-Volynskyi!
