Hamburg 2019 - 91st International Session of the European Youth Parliament
remember. reflect. react.
The 91st International Session of the EYP will take place in Hamburg, Germany in September 2019. With about 1.8 million inhabitants from over 185 countries, the city doesn’t only offer a diverse cultural spectrum, but is also the second largest city in Germany and the biggest non-capital in the European Union. Its port is the third largest in Europe positioned right after Rotterdam and Antwerp and is also commonly known as a gateway to the world. The centrally located harbour area displays perfectly the combination of architectural heritage and modernism for example through the historic Speicherstadt next to the Elbphilharmonie.
During the International Session, the participants will focus on different current topics, while always remembering the past: 40 years after the first elections to the European Parliament and 30 years after the iron curtain fell, we want to follow the theme “remember. reflect. react.”. We will be taking a look at pan-European issues as well as European history and discover remembrance within our continent.
The Head Organisers of the session are Kira Lange (DE) and Pascale Chehadeh (DE).
Please contact the Delegates' Support, Angelika Freimoser (DE), if you have questions concerning your participation in the session!
